# What happens if an event is canceled?
Gathr reserves the right to cancel an event for any reason. Very rarely, Gathr events are cancelled due to reasons outside of Gathr’s control e.g. emergency evacuation, theater closure, etc. Gathr will inform you of the cancellation and the accommodations we plan on having as soon as possible.
Accommodations may include rescheduling the event, and alternatively, full refunds if the event can’t be rescheduled or you can’t make the new date.
