How to Play the Film at Your Cinema Anywhere Screening Event

Learn all the details and required steps to screen a Film for your Cinema Anywhere Screening Event.

Cinema Anywhere Screenings can happen in any space you choose and enables you to provide flexible offline film playback to your audience through Gathr's partnership with Artinii.

If you have selected Cinema Anywhere and input a non-US/Canada theatrical venue/cinema, and they require a DCP, please contact support@gathr.com for assistance.

Follow these steps to get your Film ready for your Screening Event:

1. Register at Artinii.com

2. Create a Screening Place

2. Download and Install Artinii Cinema Player 

3. Play Your Film

2. Create a Screening Place

To screen your Film, you first must create a Screening Place from your Artinii dashboard. 

If you haven't logged into Artinii yet, your first step after registration will be to add a Screening Place - enter the location of your screening, name your screening place, add a description, and set your expected audience number. 

If you already have an account, select Screening Places from the left side navigation bar, and add a new location

Follow the instructions and add a Screening Place - enter the location of your screening, name your screening place, add a description, and set your expected audience number.

3. Download and install Artinii Cinema Player

This free application available for Mac OS and Window is required for playback.

Your Film should already appear in your Artinii Cinema Player dashboard, ready for you to download. 

Once you download the Film, you'll be able to play it at any time. 

If your desired Film doesn't appear in your Artinii Cinema Player dashboard, please contact support@gathr.com. 

To view your film license details, including how many play-throughs you are allowed, select the three-dot-menu in the lower right corner of the Film card and view film details

From here, you can view the film size, your license expiration date, and other options. 

You may also want to test your film's playback, which you can do by choosing to test film's playback. You may play up to 30%

When it's time to play the film for your Screening Event, use the Play film button, which will open a new window with your Film playback and controls . 

Once you exceed 60% of the Film's duration after selecting Play Film, a license is considered redeemed, and you won't be able to play the Film again on the same license.

4. Play Your Film

You are now ready to play your film. 

Select Play film to open a new playback window with basic playback controls.
